First two NEW Abstracts for 2010!!!

I got on a bit of a roll for the first few days of the new year/decade and produced two fun filled Abstracts that are sure to make it into the 2011 calendar and into my next Art Book, which will be all about the Abstracts I've done in the last year!

Many people I know have had something of a struggle in 2009. Here are some wonderful new year wishes from the remarkable writer Neil Gaiman that are too good not to share:

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art – write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. May your coming year be a wonderful thing in which you dream both dangerously and outrageously. I hope it’ll make something that didn’t exist before you made it, that you will be loved and you will be liked and you will have people to love and to like in return. And most importantly, because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now – I hope that you will, when you need to be, be wise and that you will always be kind. And I hope that somewhere in the next year you surprise yourself.

NEW Abstracts

A little bit of color inbetween Xmas and New Years. I slowed down with creating Abstracts for the season. That may pick up after the first of the year but I'm concentrating on some surreal paintings and buckling down on some sketches for my graphic novel. Brand new painting!!

New Year, New Painting!!!
I'm not a big sports fan anymore. I don't follow any of it these days but my favorite was always baseball. Slow, relaxing, have a beer and chill type of sport. And I was good at playing it.
I picked this image from one of my sketchbooks that I thought would be nice in a blue tint with the foreground full color. I think it turned out well.
I have a couple of other new paintings but this is the most recent one. Finished it a week ago.

The day after Xmas!

You KNOW Santa's all worn out the day after Xmas,... time for dinner with the family. Hope everyone had a great Xmas! Myself,... it was nice and relaxing,... having some extra time to kick back and enjoy the season and work on some of my other stuff. I'll have some new paintings posted soon and I hope to have the first section of my graphic novel up on a site for everyone to start reading. I've been drawing it and re-writing it for the last 8 months. It will most likely take another year to finish. Send me any comments.
