New Monday Abstract!

I actually did this last week, but what the hell. I thought it looked a bit like fireworks in the sky and thought it appropriate for the 4th of July this week! And it's available for sale on http://MikeCressy.imagekind.com/...
Goodbye June,... hello July!

Last Doodles from the grind for a while...

Since I don't have a grind to go to every day for the rest of summer, there will be no more Doodle postings for that time period. However, once Autumn gets rolling I could be gainfully employed again and the Doodles will start once again.
But don't fret! Come the Fall, I will be publishing a book of my doodles called "The Doodle Book", which will be available on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and all book sellers nation wide! I'll sure to be posting more about this as we get closer to publication. So be in the look out for it!
In the mean time I will be posting several times a week. Mostly new Abstracts and occational updates about my Graphic Novel, which I am still working on feverishly! So stay tuned and start enjoying the great summer of 2009!! Wha-Hoo!!!

Tuesday's Abstract!

Hi all,... this is my latest Abstract image that I created on Monday. Unfortunately it won't be at the Art Show I'm having for all of July at the Fremont (Seattle) Starbucks store. About 12 of my earlier Abstract prints will be on display and for sale starting July 1st. Stop by and take a look if you are in the area. I've been framing them for the last two days and I'm exhausted. Try framing that many large prints in a row! Tomorrow it's back to working on the graphic novel and my next publication,... "The Doodle Book", due out in the fall. See you next post! Enjoy Summer!

Friday's Abstract!

I've been busy all week trying to do some seriously behind schedule "Spring Cleaning" around the house but managed to finish off a new Abstract and here it is. Enjoy. I'll have photos from the Summer Solstice Parade ready to post either Sunday or Monday. The parade is on Saturday. (Tomorrow)
See you next post.

My last day of my current contract with Microsoft ended on Monday so now I'm on my 100 days off. I decided to take the summer off and work on the house, a few art books and my graphic novel. Plus have some fun kayaking, bicycle riding and taking a few trips. I'm also doing some new Abstract Art Images and here are some of the latest. Let me know what you think and if you like them a great deal, go to www.imagekind.com/mikecressy and order yourself a few.
Thanks and hope you are enjoying the summer1

Remembering Holly McClure on her birthday.

June 12th was Holly's birthday. Peace to you baby! The blue profile painting was one of her favorites that I painted. So I am posting this in her honor today.

A new Batch of Abstracts!

I can't help myself. I just keep doing more of these things. They are fun to create and I'll be selling them on ImageKind.com, Amazon (soon), Redbubble, and through my studio if anyone is interested in picking up one of these for their house or as a gift. There will be more posted soon so come back to the blog to see more.

More New Abstract images...

I'm having a great time doing some new art via the Abstract way... it's a bunch of fun. I'm actually using old art I did some 8 or 9 years ago and running them through Photoshop. They become almost and sometimes totally unrecognizable from the old art. I hope you dig it as much as I do. Many of them are and will be for sale as prints on www.imagekind.com, so if you feel the urge to get some new and exciting art for your walls without spending too much money... buy a few of these new Abstracts.
Thanks in advance. See you next post... MC

Kayaking last weekend with work buds...

Another weekend kayaking with friends from work. We started out at Aqua Verde on Lake Union in Seattle and headed over past Gas Works Park to Fremont under the I-5 bridge deck where we did a big turn around and fought all the power boats who just came out on the lake. It was a beautiful day. Afterward we all went for food at Tawon Thai the over to the university district for some Bubble Tea. After that we stopped by the old Saint Marks Cathedral on Capital Hill to check out the architecture of the place. Great stuff. Here's hoping the rest of the summer is as good as this start. Summer solstice in two weeks at Fremont!
