This week's 15 minute sketch challenge..."Happy to be here"

Having all the beautiful sun and hot temps over the weekend and into this week, I didn't stay at home much or concentrate on anything other then spending time in the sunshine, riding my bike and kayaking almost every day. So, today was the first time I had to catch up on a few things... like the sketch challenge, which reflects the last few days of great sunshine! Hope you dig: "Happy to be here"

"Seattle Reflections" NOW available on Amazon.com

My NEW photo book about Seattle features photos that I took while riding around the city on my folding bike, so there are unique points of view and stunning vistas and colors. An enjoyable book from start to finish.

Seattle Arboretum

I brought my folding bike with me into Seattle on Tuesday and rode around the Aboretum. I had never strolled through the whole thing. I've been to a few parts here and there over the years but until this last Tuesday I hadn't seen every thing. I took as many pix as I thought appropriate and it took a total of 3 hours to complete. I didn't get to all the trails but a lot of what I saw overlapped with other trails so I'm sure I got most of it. When the trail went out on the water in a series of floating walks and bridges on to small islands near the I-520 freeway it got wild. Close to the end of the day and so there was a lot of people who had come there to walk after work. It was totally empty when I started. I'll be going to either Discovery Park or Tacoma next week. Stay tuned for more pix!
Enjoy,

More Graphic Novel sneaks...

Three pages of sketches from the early part of the graphic novel. I just started the 4th volume of sketches for the graphic novel and will crank on this volume for most of August,... in between the bike riding and kayaking... LOL! Hope your summer is going well!

Soda Break!

Here's a blast from the past. This summer I'm workin' my butt off at MS and taking longer every day with the commute. That along with wanting to go kayak every other day and ride my bike for exercise,... not to mention walking around Green Lake when I get the chance. That leaves little time to work on new paintings, however I have been hard at work on the art for my graphic novel and I'm almost done with the first portion of it. I've detailed about 65 pages of art since March and will start the new batch this next week. This graphic novel is going to take some time to finish and it will be a long story. I'll try to post relavant postings without giving away too much of the plot throughout the year to come. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
Talk about digressing.
The art I've posted today is from the Apprentice PC download. It's an add in the game. I worked on this for Big Top Games 3 years ago.
Come back for more blasts from the past this summer!!
