I was taking a break from the digital painting I was working on and needed to let loose a bit, so I came up with this crazy concept.

New Digital Painting: The Midgets!
I may be doing a sequel to this one. They are from another planet but they don't wear space suits. I've got a sketch of them inside their space craft checking out a globe of the earth.

I did this outside in the sunshine last week. Always good to have some sun and sit out doors and draw. Then go for a walk or a bike ride.

Here's the color version of "Ernest, Time Traveling"
He has a door that he travels through with his umbrella because you never know when it's going to be needed.

Ernest's time travel.
Sketch of a character called Ernest. He's the main character of an exhibit at the Tacoma History Museum. I did a bunch of art for the exhibit. This one is something I've done on my own and will be sending it to them for free when the color is done and kind of thank you getting to work on the exhibit.
I'll post the color version soon.

Picture book dummy flat color test...
Setting up a palette for my picture book dummy of Peach Blossom. I'm keeping the colors light for the opening sequence. It's daylight in the suburbs. It's nice weather. The kids are getting together and everyone is happy. When they go to the basement where the party is, the colors get darker to reflect the interior space.
