HATS!

Concept Doodles help to release stress and have some fun in between all the stuff you have to do for your job.

This set of Doodles is basically about HATS! From the time I was a kid, I've always loved wearing hats. So for this session of Doodles I made different hats on some humans and hats on some basic creatures.

What do you do to release stress on a daily basis?

Peach Blossom

Some years ago I worked on a picture book concept called "Peach Blossom's Birthday Party" and did a ton of drawings for it. Here are a couple of those drawings with the color versions.

More drawings from "Alicia's Adventure"...

I've got several more for the story, which I am working on for my next picture book dummy.

Alicia's Adventure: More drawings...

I did these over the holiday weekend for the picture book dummy: Alicia's Adventure. More to come soon.

Top hats on frog and marshmallows...

I did several quick drawings in-between signing postcards for kids on Saturday at the Tacoma History Museum. Since the main character in the exhibit has a top hat, I had to put top hats on everyone, including all the little drawings I did on the postcards for kids. :D

New Drawings before driving to Tacoma...

I had 20 minutes before I drove to Tacoma this afternoon so I did these two drawings. I'm thinking of painting them quickly.

Background art roughs

Preliminary sketches in Photoshop.

Fashion illustrations??

They came off a bit super hero-ish.

Last of the Halloween batch of drawings...

This one however, doesn't have anything to do with Halloween.

"Girls Talk"

New characters!

Some recent character sketch ideas.

Flash Gordon sketches

I'M in the SCBWI for this month!!

SCBWI Bulletin with 3 of my images.

Please return my sketchbook!

SMASH AND GRAB... someone broke into my car tonight and stole my backpack that had volume 10 of my graphic novel art in it! Along with my classic iPod, parking remote for work, brand new noise canceling headphones,... glass all over the interior of the car and I had to drive home on three freeways with no side window at 1am.
If anyone would like to help and put up some of these flyers around the Fremont area of Seattle, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.
