Glimpses at my NEW website!

Here are images from the first two sections from my new Website that I hope I'll be able to update more regularly because of some advancements with the program that I use to create the website. The Doodle section features all the pages from my Art Book "The Book of Doodles" and the Abstract section features just a bit over 100 of my favorite Abstracts. I've got at least 6 more sections to finish up this next week and then I'll be uploading the new site so that the next time you go to www.mikecressy.com, you'll see the new stuff! (After next week that is...) I'll put up a note saying that it's up and you can check it out.

Abstract Variations on a theme...

Knocking out a few more Abstracts before the end of the month...
These are two variations of a retro theme about the globe... a globe... like the kind that you have spinning on a stand. At least I have one anyway..

Nightmare sequence from my graphic novel...

I don't think I've posted this whole sequence before... maybe one or two pages of it but it goes from the nightmare of being trapped in a machine to being eaten by a mechanical spider and then waking up and taking a shower.

I've been working on this little bit in Adobe illustrator and this is what I've come up with.

February's Abstract out put...

I put some time aside to work on several abstracts this last week. These are the results!
They've all got a pastel look to them, which I think is from my memories of the mid 80s in Los Angeles.

Possible Cover for Graphic Novel...

This is a drawing for the start of another nightmare sequence in my graphic novel and I'm thinking of using it for the cover. If you have any thoughts about that please let me know.
I think it could work well for the cover.

Coloring Book Cover!

I just finished off this cover for a coloring book that I did for a publisher near Chicago. Unfortunately it's for a religious publisher. (hey, I need the money) The inside line art is too old time like religion for my taste. I've done these kinds of illustrations before and these kind publishers never get contemporary. I try to nudge them and sometimes put little subversive bits in there that the NEVER notice. Hahahahahaha....
