Turkey's hideway

With Thanksgiving approaching quickly, how do Turkeys avoid getting to be the centerpiece of the dinner? Well, they could be hiding away from humans and enjoying themselves out in the wild.

HOLIDAY CARDS!

Time to get your holiday greeting cards and you can find most of mine that you can order today! They are fun and colorful, with some of the time being a bit on the somber side (not really).

Order today at RedBubble.com to get yours in time for the holidays.

Turkey run

The clock is ticking for the holidays and the first one up is less than two weeks away. Time to order some food before you have to hunt down a turkey or two.

Future car

 This week's INKY FRIDAY drawing.

Way better than a Tesla, for sure. Just look at the visibility while in the driver's seat! And it's a three wheeler. My next car! 😀

Character concepts

Working for game companies can be so fun when working on concepts for backgrounds, or in this case, for characters.

These were some of the character concepts I did of Alice in Wonderland for a section in the game.

Wednesday Random Art Post

With the onset of AI, some of us will see our jobs go away. We've fed the internet with our thoughts and creations, soon to only to see all of it stolen and used without our permission or payment for years of output.

Standing in uneasy silence, feeling the slow burn of dissatisfaction gnawing at the edges of our peace, knowing that a quiet storm was brewing beneath the surface.

Saturday morning Doodle

Saturday Morning Doodle for this weekend:

Autumn Harvest has already happened and we are reaping the results of all the great vegetables and fruits. It's also a good time between Halloween and Thanksgiving to donate all those extras to those in need. Thanks to all the people handing out those items at food banks around the country.

And if you have more than you need, please donate.

Saturday Zen

A little bit of Saturday morning Zen from this last week.

Birds on a limb

For INKY FRIDAY... the birds on a bare tree limb, contemplating the long winter.

Keeping warm and dry is a challenge. Food may be sparse but they will find plenty. Spring is a long way off at this point but survival is more than possible.

The Clown

Leftover drawings from Halloween: Clowns can be evil and with henchmen they can be very dangerous.

DRAGON MY BUTT...

One of the images below is of all the drawings I did of dragons for my book and the other is the book cover. The final drawings for the book were done in ink. I designed the cover and published the book on Amazon. It is still very available for a low price and soon will be available as an ebook.

(not posting a link because most social media sites won't really promote your post if it has a link. If you want to buy a copy of the book, please go to Amazon and type in my name or the full title of my book and it will take you there. I thank you in advance and if you live in the Seattle area, I'm happy to sign the book.)

Halloween postmortem (pun intended).

After the trick or treaters have gone home. After all the pranks and tricks have been played out. After a lot of flying through the night and swooping down on unknowing peoples. After all the candy was pilfered by small costumed creatures...

Those left awake and curious as to what really happened and excoriating the events of the evening. are left hanging out with the like minded and ponder the same event, a year from now.

The Witching Hour

After a long night of witching and flying around on a broom (which can't really be a comfortable way to fly), this witch is exhausted and ready to sleep in today. Haven't we all had those kind of days/nights?

Sleep well and get some rest.

SCARY FISH

Finishing off the month of October/Halloween drawings and such today and tomorrow with some extras that I didn't post yet this year.

Sometimes we are just going along in life, fishing for one thing or another and then something happens without our knowing about it and it can shock us and send us into panic.
Be calm and still. This too will pass. Hopefully without eating us whole.
Have a safe Halloween tomorrow.

Tonight is Devil's night

Vampire sisters

What if Vampyre-ism runs in the family. What would that look like? Perhaps like this. More investigation might be warranted.

Monsters and phones

Life can be confusing sometimes and even monsters loose touch when they pay too much attention to their phone instead of being aware of what is around them and how they got there.

Be safe out there this week for Halloween.

A drawing in progress.

Last week of Halloween oriented drawings, paintings, etc.

Today showing the progress of one of my Halloween drawings in a sketchbook while at a cafe. Drawing in public took a while to feel comfortable with but I've been doing it for so long that it's just easy to do now. I'm always glad to answer any questions that someone might have when they stop and take a look at what I'm drawing. Mostly it sparks something in those that want to engage in a conversation. And I'm always open to making new friends.

Saturday Morning Doodle

 This weekend's Saturday Morning Doodle:

A scary Halloween edition for todays doodle. The floating skull monster head in flames, late at night when no one is watching, it roams the land. In search of what, nobody knows. Boo!

INKY FRIDAY

 Inky Friday: Halloween Edition!

Little monsters aren't so scary but they can be mischievous. Like these little creatures who are supposed to be sitting on some shelves but can't help themselves.

eBook "ENATAI BEACH"... ALL 12 CHAPTERS!!

I’ve heard from people/friends and acquaintances over the last few years who kept asking if my graphic novel series “Enatai Beach” is ever going to be collected into one book instead of having to buy all 12 chapters individually?

During that time I always said “When hell freezes over bitch.”… NO, JUST KIDDING!!!!
Actually, what I said was “Maybe, when I have time to do that.”
Well, I’ve had some time since leaving my previous employer.

So what I did was,… put all 12 chapters, plus their covers into one 379 page book. And I can tell you, it’s been a hell of a time getting that through the reviews at KDP/Amazon. Changes after changes after changes… UGH!
First off, still waiting on approval for the paperback version. That may take a long time. And doing it as a hard cover was just too damn expensive. As it is, I have to charge $55 for the paperback version because it’s so freakin’ big that Amazon wants a big chunk o’ money for printing and distribution. (Bastards!)

So wait, there’s more.
And this is the best part.

I made an ebook version that only costs $15… HOO RAY! That’s all 379 pages for only $15!!!
And that version is now on sale as of today on Amazon! Can you dig it?

Not that I’m trying to push you to buy it but I do want to get the word out all over the place. You know, just in case you know someone that might want to buy an ebook copy. :D

Here’s the link:

I picked the cover of chapter 5 to make the cover of this edition with a few slight changes to the Title.

Here’s what it looks like on a tablet or phone and what it looks like on Amazon.

SNIPE!

A little lighter Halloween drawing for today. Alan Rickman's "Snape" from the Harry Potter series of films. This isn't so much a portrait as it is a caricature of the actor in that role. Using a #19 blue polychromos pencil on sketch paper.

WRAP!

This week's Wednesday Random Art Post.

Halloween drawing.

For a while I was playing around with using detailed hieroglyphs to tell a story so that anyone from anywhere could read the story without having to parse a foreign language. The story in this drawing was about a creature, sort of a monstrous caterpillar, who at the end of its search for its way in the world, finds that it must create a cocoon in order to transform to a large bird.

Each character in the drawing had a part in the story.

Even monsters can evolve.

Vampire sadness

Today's Halloween drawing: Even vampires can have a bit of "ennui" in their favorite season of the year.

Creatures

Halloween season inspires many ideas for bizarre creatures. Several here are among those concepts from years past.

MONSTER BURGER!

This weekend's Saturday Morning Doodle and since it's Halloween,... even Monsters love Burgers! I don't eat them as often as I used to but every once in a while I get the urge to have one and I don't just get any old burger. I've been a fan of FatBurger for years, since I lived in Los Angeles. Up here in the Seattle area, mostly on the east side in Bellevue, Redmond and Issaquah, FatBurger arrived in the later part of the 90s. But now I think there is only the ones in Redmond and Issaquah.

Lately I found a new place that is just as good if not better and it's really close to where I live. Red Wagon Burger #5. What?! There are 4 other ones?
Never heard of them but one day I stopped by after clearing out some boxes in the garage and thought I'd try it. Wow, one of the best I've ever had.
But as I mentioned, I don't have a burger very often but when I do it's probably going to be Red Wagon Burger.
