Monk Devil!

I've got a bunch of new doodles that I've been doing at my new gig at MS and I want to start sharing them here with you. I don't know if this played into this past weekend. Let me explain. Last Friday was the day a year ago that Holly went into the hospital for a surgery that she really didn't need. It was the beginning of the end and the emotional part of it I tried to avoid over the weekend but it hit me hard on the way home from work. Holly didn't come back from the hospital. Her demons took over and nothing was the same after that. I miss you sweetie.

Soda Break!

Here's a blast from the past. This summer I'm workin' my butt off at MS and taking longer every day with the commute. That along with wanting to go kayak every other day and ride my bike for exercise,... not to mention walking around Green Lake when I get the chance. That leaves little time to work on new paintings, however I have been hard at work on the art for my graphic novel and I'm almost done with the first portion of it. I've detailed about 65 pages of art since March and will start the new batch this next week. This graphic novel is going to take some time to finish and it will be a long story. I'll try to post relavant postings without giving away too much of the plot throughout the year to come. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
Talk about digressing.
The art I've posted today is from the Apprentice PC download. It's an add in the game. I worked on this for Big Top Games 3 years ago.
Come back for more blasts from the past this summer!!

Gal Games Logo

THis is from a logo design that I did back in January, February of this year for a company that will remain nameless. Fun working on this one. I've got other versions but I like this one the best. They didn't like any of them. Go figure, it's all subjective.
Here's to summer finally arriving in the Pacific Northwest.
I went to this party tonight in Seattle at some friends house and ran into a woman who I haven't seen in a long time. She moved out of state some time ago. She's very pretty but I found myself very awkward in front of her. I wish I wouldn't react that way in front of her because I'd like to get to know her better. She's in town for the next 10 days, maybe I'll run into her again. I'd like that.
I've become very awkward around attractive women since Holly died. I'm trying to figure out what that's about. I'm sure some of it is quilt but not sure what the rest of it is.
I also went Kayaking up stream on the Cedar river today. The current was incredibly strong at one point and I found myself not being able to get beyond and grounded my kayak under a bridge and cooled off in the shade for a while, then let the current take me back to the calmer part of the river. Lake Washington was very choppy today and that made it rough to get across.
Beautiful day though.
Peace out.

Enter the Tiki!

Hey, it's summer and the 4th is over, but there is still time to have summer fun. I'm using this image as a start to the rest of summer in hopes that it gets more summer-ish up here in the pacific northwest. (otherwise I will be taking a lot of trips this coming winter to the southland.)
Let's Tiki it up and have some summer fun and let the good times roll!
Tiki baybee!!!
